Package Redesign Project​​​​​​​
THE BRIEF:
We had to design new packages for one of Jonsson  Workwear's shoes. The product we'd chosen was a veldskoene ( Vellies) named Kalahari's. 

History:
Created by the Khoisan people, the shoe would allow them to go greater distances. The shoes rich culture and quality were adapted by farmers, turning it into the shoe we know today.

MY IDEA:
To relaunch the product, while paying respect to the shoe's history, my idea would focus on a common value found between the shoe culture and the brand's values. The value I'd focus on is reliability. Adapting this idea for the package I would sell the idea of a reliable journey. Relating to the brands quality products and the shoe's culture, It would allow you to GO ANYWHERE.
To relate the product to a more multi-cultural crowd I decided to change the name of the shoe from The KALAHARI'S to a name that literally means hard work, quality and moving forward in over four different languages. 
The name being SIYAPHUSHA
As a custom feature the box can be customized if ordered online to create a illustration of a chosen picture that the consumer wants, making the box a collectors piece as well as adds a level of desire an customer control to the overall package experience.
